The three new Wellesley girls in Vienna, Catherine, Emma, and Clara are all here!!! All five of us got together and cooked. It started out as an excuse to get rid of the large quantity of steinpilzen (intense mushrooms) I had purchased fresh at Naschmarkt, and turned into a lovely meal. Linguini with a sauce of the mushrooms, onions, ham, garlic, nutmeg, thyme, and crême fraiche (to give it a liquid base). delicious! for dessert we made a fruit sauce with blueberries, raspberries and some brown sugar and poured it over vanilla ice cream, while discussing courses for this semester. Love the life.
