We went on the 5-level detailed tour of the history of the beer and other interesting things, and one of my favorite sections was on the advertising posters and cartoons from from the turn of the century.
In this one, the baby kangaroo in its mothers pouch gets sneakily traded for the beer in the worker's apron pocket. My Goodness! How awesome. Mostly because it's kangaroos.
After learning about Guiness for 2+ hours, we finally got to the top-level bar with a 360 degree view of the city of Dublin, where our "free" (as in already paid for included in the admission) pints of Guiness were awaiting us. Lemme tell you, a pint of this dark stuff at 3 in the afternoon really put me in the mood for a nap.
| don't worry, i went home and showered directly after viewing this picture on my camera |
