Mom's morning with the horses

My mom loves horses. I remember in 4th grade we went on a family Christmas vacation to London and on Boxing Day, did as the English do and attended the races. She cried. Every time there are horse races on television, she cries. She just. love. horses.
So the only thing on her agenda during her visit to Austria was to see the Spanish Riding School and meet the Lipizzaner stallions, and this morning we realized her dream. I got us coffee and sandwiches while she held out place in line=the plan of champions. We hit up the gift store afterward and she bought a mug and a horse figurine.
So while you might think I'm seven, I certainly get it from my mother. Top favorite moments of her trip so far: ice cream, ponies, pony gift store, and riding bikes.
This is mom's new boyfriend. He kept making eyes at her with the whole last group of horses, and showing off tricks. We made the best of it.

riding bikes in sunny Prater after seeing the horses. I may have come close to dying trying to attempt self-portraits.
mom, in a silly hat. she still got sunburned, btw.
Tomorrow morning we leave Vienna bright and early (7 am, ouch) to spend a few days in the Alps in Lower Austria. Hiking, good food, and relaxing time in the hotel's pool and sauna....mmmm yes.
