My first Turkish coffee fortune was read by my friend Cagla, and it was astonishingly accurate. The second coffee I made myself with the coffee pot Cagla gave me, and then she read it for me. This one wasn't as amazingly clear as the other, but still pretty interesting.
Here she saw a boy offering me something, maybe flowers. It's definitely me on the right, with big hair, and my hands in some kind of praying position. I think the "guy" on the left looks more like some kind of animal, a dog maybe with pointy ears. But I guess for romance sake we can call it a guy, ha! I'm cool with this happening, fo sho. i lurve flowers. This was the other side of my cup, and here she sees a person lying on sand, probs a beach. I need to start planning my final trip of the semester.....sunshine, warmth, beaches.....
The funny thing is, friends came over Monday to dye eggs and cook together, and I made some Turkish coffee and read one fortune. Of course, I am not practiced at all in this, but her cup looked very different from mine so a few ideas hit me right away. Mine always had straight lines running down the sides, which Cagla would say meant many roads, clear ones, that I had to choose from. My friend's cup was a complicated design of cells, like a honeycomb. This is a new friend, and I really don't know her well, but apparently what I said about perhaps there being a lot of complicated choices she needs to make, and really not any clear path, seemed to hit the mark.
So I think Cagla's coffee must be pretty good. I'm interested to see what other pictures it makes.
