An evening of Schumann

A friend of mine from my musicology seminars organizes departmental concerts a few times a semester, and I missed the last in January, so she asked me like two months ago if I could sing for sure in the next one. Of course, I agreed. She ended up asking me a few weeks ago if I could play flute as well, when a trio dropped out.
I played Debussy's "Syrinx" and "Pièce pout flûte seuel" by Ibert, which some heard last year at my sophomore recital. I was worried about the memory of my camera, so I only asked me friend to film my song section. Unfortuntely, she only got two of the five songs from Schumann's "Frauenliebe und leben" Op. 42, but they're my favorite two (well, "Süßer Freund" is pretty amazing, and I had a lot of fun with it last night....). Here are the links if you were unable to come to the concert. Some were a continent and ocean away, some just had work, and others were just to busy being lame. ;)

"Seit ich ihn gesehen"

"Er, der herrlichste von allen"
